Lawrence Veterans Day Parade Association (LVDPA)
LVDPA is a Lwrence, Kansas based IRS 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization with a mission to thank, honor and support Douglas County, Kansas veterans
The LVDPA hosts the annual Veteran’s Day parade through downtown Lawrence on or around November 11. This event returned in 2022 after a two year hiatus.
LVDPA recruits locally for parade volunteers, parade sponsors and parade participants. Please help keep this local tradition alive.
Additionally, if any sponsor funds remain after the annual parade the LVDPA Board of Directors works with local Douglas County veterans organizations to support any of their ongoing veterans support and/or outreach programs. Thanks to the generosity of Lawrence citizens and businesses, the Lawrence Veterans Day Parade Association (LVDPA) raised enough funds to conduct our annual parade on Nov 9th, 2024 AND make a donation to Heartland Community Health Center to help local veterans who cannot afford health care.
